Shandong Announced Its 10.51 GW of PV Market-oriented Size: Jinko Power Won 450 MW!

2021-11-12

Today, Shandong Energy Administration announced its list of market-oriented grid-connected projects for 2021; a total of 152 projects contributed 10.51 GW. In this round of fierce competition, Jinko Power won a project scale of 450 MW in one fell swoop, ranking the forefront in the private sector, which manifests Jinko's robust and competitive project development capabilities.

The projects announced include the projects to be connected to the grid by the end of 2021 (90.55 MW), the projects to be connected to the grid by the end of 2022 (3.03 GW), and the projects to be connected to the grid by the end of 2023 (7.38 GW).

As a pioneer in life-cycle new energy solutions, Jinko Power, with development, construction, and operation of various PV plants as its primary business, provides users with a steady stream of green and clean energy. The Company controls project teams with leading development capabilities that are rationally deployed in North China, East China, Central China, Southeast China, Northeast China, and Northwest China. The six teams have been working in their respective regions for many years, having always maintained a leading development scale in the industry. The grid-connected installed capacity is nearly 3 GW, while the cumulative power generation is more than 17 billion kWh. PV plants have been established in more than 20 provinces, including Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hebei, Anhui, Ningxia and Qinghai.

According to Zhang Jing, General Manager of Jinko Power East China, "The competition among companies in Shandong was extremely fierce. To get satisfactory results in this market-based project competition, the development teams in front, middle and back offices of the regional company carefully studied the documents of filing requirements, made reasonable division of labor, analyzed market competition dynamics to determine energy storage rationing strategies, and actively prepare other materials required for filing. Eventually, all submitted projects passed the project compliance audit by the provincial energy administration, the provincial power grid and other authorities, having helped Jinko achieved the full-capacity metrics. The outstanding comprehensive advantages were an important factor in our success this time, and we will join hands with local governmental departments to participate in and implement energy mix optimization measures to boost the low-carbon green economy in Shandong.”

Since the beginning of this year, Jinko Power's six major regional companies in China has repeatedly won provincial project development index scale, and there are still some follow-up projects that will release their metrics. The agreed development scale of contracted bases reached 10.8 GW. In the list of guaranteed PV scales for 2021 recently announced by Guangxi, Jinko Power ranked first among private businesses with a metric size of 400 MW. The adequate project reserve forged the "powerful engine" for the Company's external cooperation and sustainable development.

During implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the rapid development of the new energy industry represented by PV made the national strategic policy of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" increasingly clear. China and the United States concluded the Joint Declaration on Enhanced Climate Action yesterday to maximize the benefits of clean energy-oriented transformation. Accelerating energy mix adjustment and transformation is now a common choice for all countries around the world.

Jinko Power will keep on relying on its many years of project development capabilities and industry-leading technologies to actively respond to the national strategic call for new energy development, accelerate the deployment of low-carbon industries, impel the continued changes in the new energy sector, and deliver new momentums to achieving the "3060" carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
